PRONG 1

- Procurement project (negotiated) whereby we are contracted to obtain your suppliers’ BEE certificates to get their status for your scorecard.
- For BEE to be of benefit to you, to be more than just a compliance factor, it helps if you understand the various elements and improve on them before you even arrange your verification.
PRONG 2
- Once your scorecard has been compiled, according to your accountable records, you need a verification agent to ‘rubber stamp’ the score and issue you with a certificate.
- A list of these agents can be found on the website of the Department of Trade and Industry.
- No-one can issue a scorecard or give guidance on BEE and at the same time verify your results – it is specifically precluded in the Act. A verification agent may audit the results of your scorecard only.
